Dewi in the Deep

A musical story about the ocean and how to change your world…

Join 8-year old girl Dewi and her pet tortoise Tortellini as they go on a magic trip through the ocean, where they will meet the inhabitants of the sea, and learn how humans’ actions are impacting their environment.

This audiobook is our first work for children and comes with a beautifully illustrated booklet to follow the story along.

We hope you and your children will enjoy it, and stay tuned for more of Dewi’s adventures!

About Us

We commission new and exciting opera from up-and-coming composers, that we create with a new generation of talent in site-specific productions in unusual venues.

Since our debut with Snow in 2017 we have also  combined the stories of Goldilocks and The Three Little Pigs and retold the story of Robin Hood.

We kept creating after the pandemic put live performances on hold, and the resulting Episodes won an RPS Inspiration Award that celebrates work created during lockdown.

2021/22 will be our fifth season, and the most exciting yet, with our return to live performance, a new song cycle and an operatic illustrated audiobook: stay tuned!

Support Us

Opera is costly to produce and depends on the love and generosity of the many people that feel passionate about it and want to share it with others and keep it as an important part of our lives. We are convinced that in times like these it is more important than ever to keep creating music and are very thankful for our past and current supporters, without whom this work would not be possible.
